We see we’re onto a good thing and want to grow our Circle.
You’ll find among us a diversity of business backgrounds and perspectives, but one characteristic that unites us: We believe givers gain.
More specifically... we have experienced that we can, through Founders Circle, make a positive difference for the Muskoka community by helping that bright idea get off the ground and to, in turn, create jobs and grow our economy. Together Founders have invested over $50,000 to individuals or businesses with these bright ideas.
We’ve seen what our recognition and support means to an entrepreneur. For many of us, we were there one time ourselves and feel this is an effective way to give back. Effective because you can see that your contribution can have a direct result for a business. Effective because you can help leverage the success of winners and finalists by helping them find funders, customers and suppliers. Effective because you’re doing something governments can’t do – give money directly to a business.
What will you do as a Founder? Once you’ve made your financial contribution, you have the opportunity to help determine the prize amount, screen applicants, interview finalists and vote for the winners. Beyond that you can choose the level of participation in our operations that works for you.
Along the way, you’ll get to help shape your community, meet others passionate about entrepreneurship and meet some of the community’s budding business leaders.
